About

Forgotten Highways
All across America there are remnants of highway that have been bypassed in favor of wider thoroughfares. Most folks know these ribbons of cracked concrete as the “old road.” Sometimes they are known as the scenic route, and occasionally they’re even honored with historic status.

Since 2009 we’ve been traveling the backroads and byways by motorcycle, sharing our adventures on the television show Two Wheel Oklahoma. The response to that regional program was so amazing we decided to follow it up with something even bigger and better.

That's us during a visit to Bartlesville, Oklahoma
Who Are You?
We’re Rex Brown and Brad Mathison.

Forgotten Highways is our concept for a series of documentaries featuring the two-lanes and backroads of America. All of America. Each project will explore a stretch of forgotten highway, a scenic byway, an historic route or a dusty trail. And each time we'll seek out the places, the people, the tales you won't find on the Interstate. Stuff that's just too good not to share.

For us these old roads spell history. And discovering the people, the towns and the stories along these forgotten highways is what we love to do. You might say we love to find the unforgettable.

We hope you’ll come ride along.
